Fabricated Steel

guard-all building solutions, tension fabric buildings, galvanized steelThe components for our buildings are manufactured from cold-formed seamless carbon steel structural tubing that conforms to the ASTM A500 standard with a 50 ksi (345 MPa) minimum yield point. The recycled content of the steel can vary depending on the source of available raw materials; on average there is 57% Post-Consumer Recycled Content and 31% Pre-Consumer Recycled content.

Our fabricated steel truss components can be finished in a selection of coatings; including hot dip galvanized, inline galvanized and powder coated to meet project specifications.


Architectural Membrane

The standard architectural membrane material Guard-All employs is NovaShield® II with ArmorKote™, available with either a standard 4 mil coating or a 4 mil flame retardant coating. Alternate fabrics like PVC, Sheerfill® Architectural Membrane and Shadeshure® are available for projects requiring those materials.

A huge benefit to the HDPE material Guard-All utilizes is the energy efficient translucent qualities of the fabric. White and lighter colored membrane materials allow around 12% of sunlight to transfer through the translucent fabric which reduces the need for electrical lighting during daylight hours. Additionally, when electric lights are used near the fabric, light is reflected off the surface amplifying the total lumens in the building.

NovaShield II with ArmorKote – RU88X-6 4 mil (standard)

guard-all building solutions, tension fabric buildings, high density polyethylene fabric, HDPENova-Shield II RU88X-6 4 mil is a heavyweight fabric for applications requiring UV stability, such as membrane structures and alternate daily landfill covers. The scrim is produced in a special weaving pattern to enhance thickness, flatness, abrasion resistance, and tear properties. The proprietary coating is used to enhance abrasion resistance, flex resistance, seam strength, UV resistance and longevity.

This product meets the requirements of ASTM E84-00a (Class 1).

NovaShield II with ArmorKote – FRU88X-6 4 mil (fire-rated)

Nova-Shield II FRU88X-6 4 mil is a heavyweight fabric for applications requiring flame retardants and UV stability, such as membrane structures and alternate daily landfill covers. The scrim is produced in a special weaving pattern to enhance thickness, flatness, abrasion resistance, and tear properties. The proprietary coating is used to enhance abrasion resistance, flex resistance, seam strength, UV resistance and longevity.

This product meets the requirements of NFPA 701-1989 (large and small scale) and 1996 (tests 1 & 2), CAN/ULC S109-M87 (small and large scale), CAN/ULC S102-03, CAN/ULC S102.2-03, ASTM E84-00a (Class 1), UBC31-1, California Fire Marshall (F-51405).

Available in a broad spectrum of weights, translucency, topcoat, and color options that are well suited for high-end architectural applications.

Sheerfill® V Architectural Membrane

SHEERFILL® is the trademark for a family of composite membranes made of fiberglass and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).  SHEERFILL products are available in a range of strengths and light transmission levels, providing the user with a choice of membranes to cover virtually any size structure from a full-sized stadium to a relatively small skylight.  All SHEERFILL membranes conform to rigid fire and building codes for permanent buildings.

Shadesure®

A mesh fabric constructed of knitted HDPE that is well suited for sun shade applications and wind abatement.
