One of our customers approached us with an unusual request recently. “Can you mount a Guard-All tension fabric building on rails so the building can be moved along a track?”, they asked.
As unusual as it sounds we had a project with a similar requirement a few years ago. So with a head start we were able to come up with a good solution to mount our 60′ x 60′ Centurion 48 building with extended 35′ legs on base plates attached to rails mounted on a retaining wall. With the steel frame alone weighing in at a little over 7 tons it was quite a feat of engineering for the completed structure to work so smoothly that the building can be moved along the rails by a handful of workers.
